COVID-19 Business Continuity & Preparedness Position
  Michael Thompson

As the impact of the novel Corona Virus continues to be felt across the globe, the safety and well-being of our clients, employees, supplier partners and communities are ISB Global Services top priority. Over the last several weeks, each of our Operations groups have been developing an extensive set of contingency measures. The goal is to ensure that our workplace, as well as all internal and external stakeholders’ interests,’ are safeguarded, and that we have protocols in place for effective and sustainable business continuity.

At this time, our physical offices remain open and available for both processing and customer support. Both ISB’s IT infrastructure and national telephony capability allow for our employees to work seamlessly from home, should the Covid-19 situation escalate. Our teams are committed to delivering the products and services you have come to rely on, especially during these concerning times. We understand that you are likely facing your own business challenges and may be impacted, we are here to support you as a trusted partner.

ISB Global Services continues to do our part to mitigate any potential risk to our businesses and our communities. As such, we have implemented the following actions:

  1. A travel ban has been implemented for all non-essential travel. For any employee who travels to an affected area, a 14-day self quarantine period will be observed. Upon return from travel to non-affected areas, a full assessment of the location, current level of risk and medical status will be conducted prior to return to work.
  2. There will be a short-term moratorium on face to face meetings with clients and supplier partners, including a no visitor policy to any of our office locations. Given the changing nature of health advisories we are unable to specify a length of time, but we are committed to sharing information on our evolving plans as they are updated.
  3. Events, tradeshows and professional development will be delivered in a virtual format until further notice.
  4. Any employee who is not feeling well, or is symptomatic is being required to stay at home until medical clearance to return to work is received.
  5. Implementation of extensive hygiene and prevention best practices as well as following all government risk mitigation recommendations. This includes the following:
    • Sanitization of all workstations and heightened cleaning procedures
    • Strict hand-washing policies and signage
    • Screening of employees in the physical office location for symptoms of illness

As experts in risk and crisis management, our group of companies Emergency Response Team continues to work determinedly with our global Executive Team. At a minimum we are engaging in daily briefings. All of the actions we are undertaking are being guided and informed by the advice of World Health Organization (WHO), CDC and Canadian Public Health authorities.

Our hope is that the information provided here offers reassurances to our employees, clients and supplier partners that these precautionary steps will allow for uninterrupted service while maintaining vigilance to protect our clients, employees and supplier partners.

The safety and health of our teams and yours are of the utmost importance.

We wish you safety and health at this time. Should you have any questions or concerns around this message please contact [email protected].
